What shipping methods are available?
We outsource our deliveries to a few preferred third party courier companies in SA. Deliveries can be made to anywhere in South Africa that these courier companies are able to deliver to, including both major city centres and smaller towns and outlying areas.
We also offer a door-to-locker delivery service where. For this service you will need to collect your parcel from the assigned locker.
Alternatively, you may collect from our offices/shop (in Gqeberha only) or you may send your own preferred courier to collect from our premises.
How do I place an order?
To place an order please go to www.aplacetoshop.co.za and place it via our secure online shopping website.
You may use the navigation or various search facilities on the website to help you find your desired item(s).
To add an item to your cart you can either:
- Mouse over the image on the category page and click on the little shopping icon towards the bottom of that image or
- Click on the image to be taken to that specific product page, specify the number of items you you like to add and click ADD TO CART
- Tick the box to agree with the Terms and Conditions
- Click Proceed to Checkout
- Follow the prompts to enter your preferred delivery method and delivery address information
- Click Pay Now and be directed to the various secure payment options
- Follow the prompts and complete your payment.
Payment
What payment methods are accepted?
We offer a number of secure payment methods including:
- Pay via Ozow (secure Online Bank Transfer)
- Pay via PayGate (Credit Card or PayPal)
- Pay via PayFast (multiple payment options)
- Pay via manual EFT | Bank Transfer Credit Card and Online EFT
Do you ship internationally?
We currently do not offer international deliveries.
However, you are welcome to collect your order from our premises by selecting "Collect from Offices" and to arranging your international delivery through your preferred courier.
Returns
Is buying on-line safe?
The short (general) answer is mostly/yes - as long as you are careful and vigilant when making your purchase. Here are some useful tips to help ensure a safe shopping experience:
1. Always place orders from a secure connection
2. Know the merchant and their reputation - word of mouth recommendations from a trusted friend who has successfully shopped on that website is usually a good indication that the website is safe and secure
3. If you are buying a Gift Card, read the Terms and Conditions
4. Don’t use an e-store that requires more information than necessary to make the sale. They should only require the necessary info to receive payment from you and to successfully deliver your order.
5. If you need to create a password for the site? – try to make it unique.
6. Is the site secure? Before entering any personal or credit card info onto a shopping site look to see if the web address on the page begins with "https:", not "http:" That little ’s’ tells you the website is secure and encrypted to protect your information.
7. Use a Credit Card or PayPal - Try to avoid using a debit card as these do not have the same security protections in place for you should a problem arise.
Do I have to pay anything to return my items?
Please refer to the Returns and Refunds tab at the bottom of our homepage for more information on the returns policy.... but, in short... it depends.
If you are wanting to return the item because you have made an impulse purchase and you have simply changed your mind or would prefer an exchange or refund, then yes... that's only fair. :)
However, If you are wanting to return the item(s) because it arrived damaged or if we have delivered the incorrect item(s) then we will cover the cost of collecting the damaged/incorrect and the replacement thereof.

How do I return an item?
You are more than welcome to return an item or your full order in exchange for a refund or voucher.
However, there are specific processes to follow when wanting to return an item and the costs incurred on the return of your item(s) depend on the reason.

How long will my delivery take?
How long is a piece of string?
The number of days for your delivery to take place can depend on a few factors like delivery method (courier or PUDO, for example) and also on where the delivery address is situates. In general, however, here are our approximate guidelines:
Major City Centre > 2-4 working days from dispatch
Outlying Towns/Areas > 4-6 working days from dispatch
Local delivery in PE > 1-2 days from dispatch
PUDO Locker > 2-7 working days from dispatch, depending on where the delivery locker is situated
